1. Drag the cursor in the timeline or marker bar to make a time selection.

  2. From the Insert menu, choose Region. Numbered region markers Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions are placed at the start and end of the selected area, and an edit box is displayed.

  3. Type a name for the region in the edit box and press Enter.

Vegas Pro tip Inserting Regions To move the cursor to the start or end of a region, right-click either region marker and choose Go to Start or Go to End from the shortcut menu.

Right-click either region marker Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions and choose Delete from the shortcut menu.

Right-click a blank area of the marker bar, choose Markers/Regions from the shortcut menu, and choose Delete All from the submenu. All regions Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions and markers Vegas Pro markertab Inserting Regions in the project are removed.

  1. Drag along the marker bar to highlight the area you want all markers and regions to be removed from.

  2. Right-click a blank area of the marker bar, choose Markers/Regions from the shortcut menu, and choose Delete All in Selection from the submenu. All regions Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions and markers Vegas Pro markertab Inserting Regions inside the selected area are removed.

Right-click the starting region marker Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions and choose Rename from the shortcut menu.

Double-click to the right of the region marker and enter a name in the edit box.

Right-click the starting or ending region marker Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions and choose Select Region from the shortcut menu. The region is highlighted.

Double-click the start or end region marker. The region is highlighted.

Drag either region marker Vegas Pro regionmarker Inserting Regions to move the tab and change the region’s size.

Hold the Alt key while dragging either region tag to move a region and preserve its length.

Insert Menu

From the Insert menu, choose Region to add region markers at each end of the current selection. Regions can be used to indicate sections of projects such as credits or scenes, or they can be used to make notes in the project.
